Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin Will Attend Annual Session, 3,457 Joint Personnel Deployed

JAKARTA - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) will hold an annual 2024 session and a joint session with the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) tomorrow. A total of 3,457 joint personnel were deployed to secure the annual session.

"The total combination of security personnel is 3,457 personnel," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to VOI, Thursday, August 15.

Thousands of personnel were deployed with details of 3,137 from the National Police, 223 personnel from the TNI, and 97 personnel from the Regional Government (Pemda).

Regarding the security pattern, Ade said the thousands of personnel would be alerted around the MPR/DPR building to the State Palace.

"The security pattern is carried out around the DPR/MPR building, the HI Roundabout and the Horse Statue," he said.

"In addition, it will also be alerted around the palace as well as securing the departure route and returning the President from the State Palace-DPR MPR to create Kamseltibcarlantas," continued Ade.

At the 2024 Annual Session, President Jokowi will deliver his last accountability speech. It is estimated that 3,000 invited guests will attend the 2024 Annual Session.

Apart from President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, the DPR-DPD Joint Session which is still in one series with the 2022 MPR Annual Session was also attended by a number of former presidents and former vice presidents. Then there were also leaders of state institutions, as well as ranks of the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
