Yuyun Sukawati Feels Extorted By Rp1 Billion By Prosecutors, Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office: That's A Guarantee

JAKARTA - The old actress Yuyun Sukawati feels she is the victim of extortion by unscrupulous prosecutors related to the alleged case of spreading immoral videos that dragged her son.Yuyun was represented by her attorney, Maxi Karepu said that she was blackmailed by being asked for Rp1 billion by unscrupulous prosecutors who worked in the Tangerang City area."We as attorneys from Mrs. Yuyun came to the Prosecutor's Office to make an official report regarding the alleged abuse of authority by unscrupulous prosecutors," said Maxi Karepu, quoted by VOI from YouTube squid.com, Thursday, August 15."The abuse, among others, was that the prosecutor asked our client, Mrs. Yuyun, for Rp1 billion," explained Maxi. But on another occasion, the Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office denied this and said that the money in question was a guarantee of his wish to suspend his son's detention.
"We convey that the Criminal Code regulates that if it wins the suspension of detention. So the applicant is obliged to issue guarantees, whether goods, people, or people. The money, or the goods will be handed over to the court to be determined," explained the Head of the General Crimes Section (Kasipidum) of the Tangerang City District Attorney (Kejari), Yayi Dita Nirmala to VOI, Tuesday, August 13."What is said to be the Rp1 billion figure is a guarantee. The goal is not to be detained, the trial is accelerated. Now that is what is fried, even though it is clear, if there is Rp1 billion, for example, it is handed over to the court. Later if it doesn't run away, then it will be reversed again," added Yayi.
