Luhut Claims Golkar Is Fine After Airlangga's Resignation
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Golkar Party, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said that the internal situation of the Golkar Party was in good condition, especially after Airlangga Hartarto's resignation from the general chairman.
"Nothing, it doesn't indicate anything. Golkar is fine," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.
Luhut, who is also the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, emphasized that the presence of several important figures such as Bahlil Lahadalia and Bambang Soesatyo did not show any special issues in the party bearing the banyan tree symbol.
Regarding the issue that developed after Airlangga's resignation, Luhut admitted that he did not know whether he supported the Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) or not.
"Where would I know. Later you will ask about the flow of the poll, I will answer," he said, emphasizing his focus on issues outside the party.
