Megawati Says PDIP Wants To Be Robbed, Budi Arie: Want To Accuse Mr. Jokowi?
JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of Jokowi's Sympatisan, Projo as well as Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi dismissed assumptions stating President Joko Widodo's desire (Jokowi) to take over the position of Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP).
Budi Arie made this statement in response to the statement by the PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri who revealed that there were other parties who wanted to take over their party.
"Yes, who is the ruler? Do you want to accuse Pak Jokowi? Pak Jokowi doesn't want to. Never wanted to," he said at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14, which was confiscated by Antara.
Budi Arie, who is now the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, called Jokowi's assumption of wanting to take over PDIP as an accusation.
"Yes, just ask, who wants to take over, who is interested? Don't play together," he said.
Budi Arie ensured that President Jokowi's attitude until now was still not interested in holding the position of chairman of the PDIP.
When asked about Jokowi's status as a PDIP cadre, Budi Arie asked reporters to ask PDIP and Jokowi directly about it.
Previously, PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri revealed the reason for canceling her retirement as general chairman because there were parties who wanted to take over PDIP.
This was conveyed by Megawati after announcing the prospective regional head candidates who will run in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada at the PDIP DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.

Megawati canceled her intention to retire because she knew someone wanted to take over the party and said the condition was serious.
