Launching Tomorrow, This Is The Latest BMW M5 Real Form Leak

JAKARTA - BMW will introduce the latest M5 Touring tomorrow, August 15. Ahead of its launch, manufacturers conduct tests by reducing the use of camouflage that shows its form of production.

Reporting from Carscoops, Wednesday, August 14, the front clearly resembles the M5 version of the sedan with a closed gripper. The bumper part is equipped with more aggressive air-intake.

The sporty touch continues backwards by using lighter-weighted rims supported by braking systems for high-performance cars and bronze times. BMW also pinned the Michelin Pilot Sport tires for the wagon.

Another highlight is that the door handle is installed flat and there is a charging port that shows that the latest M5 Touring carries the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) system.

To make it more sporty, this German manufacturer installed a four exhaust system and wider baggage with a capacity of up to 1,700 liters when the back seat was folded.

Most of the interiors in M5 Touring have similarities with the sedan version, such as the steering wheel, M multifunctional seat, and trim Aluminum Rhino. The dashboard will be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch infotainment.

Speaking of performance, M5 Touring will use a 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo engine which is the hallmark of the M division car, combined with an electric motor with an automatic transmission of eight accelerations. Thus, this produces a total power of up to 717 dk and a torque of 1,000 Nm.

Supported by an all-wheel drive drive system developed by this brand, this wagon is expected to be able to run from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.4 seconds with the highest speed of 306 km/hour with M Driver Package as optional.

Carrying PHEV technology, the M5 Touring has a battery with a capacity of 14.8 kWh which is expected to be able to run with electricity up to 40 km with a battery fully charged.

Further specifications regarding this model will be revealed at the time of its launch. It is estimated that M5 Touring will enter production in November and go on sale at the beginning of next year.
