Fire In Manggarai, KAI Ensures Train Travel At Stations Is Not Disturbed
JAKARTA - KAI Commuter's Corporate Secretary, Joni Martinus, confirmed that the fire incident at a resident's house in Manggarai, Tebet, South Jakarta did not interfere with the Electric Rail Train (KRL) journey at Manggarai Station.
Joni revealed that the flames located next to the Depo Overhaul KAI Commuter warehouse in Manggarai, where there is a Basoetta commuter line, did not experience any problems at all. The flow of KRL trips continues normally.
"We can convey that the entire commuter line journey through Manggarai Station is safe according to its hours," said Joni in his statement, Tuesday, August 13.
Currently, the fire has started to extinguish and the cooling process, the condition of service at Manggarai Station remains conducive and safe even though it is crowded with residents who evacuate at the west door of the station.

"We are currently directing regulations for outgoing and entering users through the east door of Manggarai Station," he said.
Regarding the west door of Manggarai Station, said Joni, his party was still on guard in the area. This is done to regulate order when users go in and out of the door.
"For the west door of the station, our officers remain on guard so that they remain orderly by the refugees so that they do not close the access for users who will enter and exit through the door," he concluded.
