Woman Suspected In The Murder Case Of Storekeeper In Kelapa Dua Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

TANGERANG - The panel of judges at the Tangerang District Court (PN) sentenced the defendant Nada Diana to a murder case against a shopkeeper named Resy Ariska in Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency.

"The defendant (ND) was sentenced to 15 years in prison," said Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Subchi Eko Putro, in the Tangerang District Court courtroom, Monday, August 12.

The judge also read out the aggravating things that the defendant Nada Diana gave, namely giving deep wounds to the victim's family.

"Meanwhile, for burdensome matters, the panel of judges assessed that during the trial the defendant always sought excuses, made deep wounds for the victim's family. There was no mitigating thing," he explained.

Previously, the Head of General Crimes (Kasipidum) of the Tangerang District Attorney's Office, Herdian Malda, said that the Prosecutor had demanded a maximum accordance with Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison.

"Indeed, the facts at this trial, we prove that Article 338 of the Criminal Code carries a maximum threat of 15 years. That's why today we demand 15 years (imprisonment) so we maximize it," said Malda, Thursday, July 18.

Malda explained that the aggravating thing for the defendant in the murder case was when he gave a long-winded statement.

"The aggravating thing is more dominant, because the defendant is long-winded, so it is burdensome. Well, in the consideration of the aggravating public prosecutor, it is more dominant," he said.
