KSEI Reveals Five Sectors Distribute Largest Dividends
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) Samsul Hidayat said the largest sector that contributed to the distribution of the most dividends was the financial or banking sector.
Samsul explained that until August 2024 the banking sector distributed dividends of IDR 58.24 trillion, an increase compared to the previous year, where the sector contributed IDR 50.57 trillion.
"This means that the financial sector will share a bigger number in 2024, where in half a year it has exceeded one year in 2023," he told reporters, Monday, August 12.
Furthermore, the sector that contributes to the distribution of the most dividends is the energy sector of IDR 30.86 trillion.
This figure is down when compared to 2023 which reached IDR 56.2 trillion.
Then other sectors such as industry, multi-sectors, and holdings distribute dividends of IDR 7.83 trillion or decrease when compared to last year's IDR 11.79 trillion.
Meanwhile, the industrial integrated telecommunication service sector distributed dividends of IDR 7.36 trillion, an increase compared to the previous year of IDR 6.88 trillion.
"This means that this year is much bigger than 2023 because it is currently only half a year," he said.
In addition, the industrial wireless and telecommunication service sector distributed dividends of IDR 3.73 trillion. Or it decreased when compared to the previous year which distributed dividends of IDR 4.20 trillion.
Meanwhile, Samsul said that the sector that issued the most e-buses was financial or consumer financing by distributing Rp23.26 trillion to August 9, 2024, or lower than last year's Rp28.77 trillion.
Then, in the financial sector, banks distribute IDR 14.32 trillion, or lower than last year's IDR 35.02 trillion.
Meanwhile, the financial sector, specialize business financing, amounted to IDR 14.24 trillion or decreased compared to last year's IDR 20.05 trillion.
Meanwhile, the industrial wireless and telecommunication service sectors amounted to IDR 10.70 trillion, or an increase compared to the previous year's IDR 9.88 trillion.
