Panca Darmansyah, Father Of Murder 4 Children In Jagakarsa Demanded The Death Penalty
JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has demanded the defendant Panca Darmansyah to be sentenced to death for the murder of his four children in Jagarkasa, South Jakarta. The reading of the charges was carried out at the South Jakarta District Court (Jaksel).
"Sentenced Panca Darmansyah to the death penalty," said the public prosecutor in the courtroom at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, August 12.
The prosecutor assessed that Panca was proven guilty of premeditated murder of her 4 children. This is also in accordance with the indictment, namely Article 340 of the Criminal Code.
Not only that, the Prosecutor also assessed that Panca had committed violence against his wife, Devi Manisha. This is also in accordance with Article 44 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the elimination of domestic violence.
The defendant's actions were inhumane who brutally killed his own child. The defendant's actions resulted in the victim's witness DM being injured," he said.
Furthermore, the trial will continue with the agenda of the pledoi reading session on August 26, 2024. Previously, the Public Prosecutor charged Panca Darmansyah with multiple articles on the murder of 4 of his biological children at a boarding house in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta.

The Public Prosecutor assessed that Panca Darmansyah's actions were a criminal act as regulated in Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 76 C in conjunction with 80 Paragraph (4) of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection, as amended by Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of a Perpu in Lieu of Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection into law.
In addition, the Public Prosecutor also assessed that Panca Darmansyah's actions had committed Domestic Violence (KDRT) against his wife as referred to in Article 44 Paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning PKDRT in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 in conjunction with Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph (4) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence.
