Iraqi Military Air Attack Kills 17 Militants Of Kurdish Party In Iraq

JAKARTA - The Turkish military carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq and killed 17 banned militants from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Reported by Reuters on Monday, August 12, Turkey, which usually uses the term neutralized which means it was killed, carried out a cross-border operation called Claw-Lock in Iraq as part of its attack on PKK militants.

The PKK, which has launched an uprising against the Turkish state since 1984, has been designated a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States, and the European Union.

Turkey also launched a military attack in Syria against the YPG Kurdish militia, for considering it a PKK wing.
