KLHK Emphasizes The Important Role Of Industry And Society To Prevent Environmental Damage

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) through the Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control (Ditjen PPKL) emphasized the importance of collaboration.

Regarding the role of this collaboration, the Director of Peat Ecosystem Damage Control (PKEG) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Mohammad Noor Andi Kusumah, sees this as an important element.

Especially if you look at the last 10 years in implementing policies to control pollution and environmental damage.

The presence of the role of the community in supervision will have a better impact on the government and the business world. Because, so far, people have felt the impact of pollution and environmental damage the most.

"When we ask the government to only pollute the environment with existing quality standards, of course it is not very effective. Therefore, collaboration with the community is also needed. One of them is by cooperating with environmental communities," said Mohammad Noor Andi Kusumah in a statement at the LIKE 2 Festival. Jakarta, Monday, August 12.

The project was carried out through EPN cooperation with PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (PLN Icon Plus), a subsidiary of PLN. Astra also conducts environmentally friendly investments through United Tractors in the fields of geothermal, hydropower and waste to energy

"Climate resilience is not an option. But it is a necessity for us to survive in a world that is constantly changing," said Bima
