JAKARTA - The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) through the Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control (Ditjen PPKL) emphasized the importance of collaboration.
This effort is important in order to provide a good ecosystem for the environment, society and the business world
Regarding the role of this collaboration, the Director of Peat Ecosystem Damage Control (PKEG) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Mohammad Noor Andi Kusumah, sees this as an important element.
Especially if you look at the last 10 years in implementing policies to control pollution and environmental damage.
The presence of the role of the community in supervision will have a better impact on the government and the business world. Because, so far, people have felt the impact of pollution and environmental damage the most.
"When we ask the government to only pollute the environment with existing quality standards, of course it is not very effective. Therefore, collaboration with the community is also needed. One of them is by cooperating with environmental communities," said Mohammad Noor Andi Kusumah in a statement at the LIKE 2 Festival. Jakarta, Monday, August 12.
He emphasized that the collaboration between the government and the community does not only highlight the role of the industrial world. Precisely through the presence of the community, government performance related to policies is also directly monitored.
In addition, KLHK also appreciates the industrial world which is increasingly encouraging sustainability, one of which is related to efforts to reduce carbon emissions. KLHK appreciates PT Astra International Tbk's steps for the initiative of eco-innovations and social innovation programs that have been carried out for business sustainability and community welfare.

In line with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Astra in running sustainable industries not only collaborates with fellow industries but also cooperates with the government and society.
"Because innovation if you go alone there will be no sustainability, of course after innovation there must be collaboration and lastly is adaptation with existing changes," said Bima.
