Europe's Largest Nuclear Power Plant In Ukraine Fires, Allegedly Mastermind Of Russia
JAKARTA - A major fire broke out at Europe's largest nuclear power plant (PLTN) located in Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of masterminding the burning of the PLTN occupied by Vladimir Putin's troops.
"We detected from Nikopol that the Russian colonialists had started a fire in the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant," Zelensky said via Telegram's message, Monday, August 12, quoted from Metro.co.uk.
He accused Russia of starting a fire by burning car tires in the cooling tower to spread vigilance.
"However, as long as Russian terrorists continue to control the PLTN, the situation is not and will not be normal," he said.
"Since the first day PLTN Zaporizhia was captured, Russia has only used it to extort Ukraine, all over Europe and the world," Zelensky claims.

The PLTN has been in Russia's hands since 2022. However, according to international law, the power plant belongs to Ukraine.
