Perpetrators Of The Company Shooting Killed 1 Security Guard In Central Kalimantan Arrested, The Motive Is Heartache

The police arrested the perpetrator of the shooting of the private security post of PT BM in Manuhing, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng).

Gunung Mas Police Chief (Gumas) AKBP Theodorus Priyo Santosa said the motive for the shooting was allegedly due to the heartache of the perpetrator's parents who had disagreements with the victim.

"The perpetrator with the initials AS (29) was arrested last weekend at his residence in Palangkaraya," Priyo said when confirmed from Kuala Kurun, Friday, August 9, as reported by Antara.

Manuhing Police Chief Iptu Teguh Triyono explained that the shooting using an air rifle was carried out by the US to the security post of PT BMB in the Manuhing area on Monday, July 29, at around 09.30 WIB.

At that time at the company security post were guarded by two security guards from Pendi and Ukarli. Suddenly a perpetrator came riding a black motorcycle, and immediately pointed the air rifle at the security post.

The perpetrator opened fire once at the security post hitting Ukarli. After that, the perpetrator fled towards the highway.

Ukarli, who was bleeding, was rushed to a public health center (puskesmas) in Manuhing and then referred to the Palangkaraya Hospital. However, Ukarli's life could not be saved after several days of medical treatment at the Palangkaraya Hospital.

For his actions, AS was charged with multiple articles, namely Article 340 junto Article 355 paragraph (2) junto Article 354 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code, with the threat of a sentence of more than five years in prison.

"This incident serves as a reminder for all of us to always maintain good relations with others, and solve problems with a cool head. Violence is not the right solution to solve problems," he said.
