18-Year-Old Man Iraqi Citizen Detained By Police For Terror Plan Taylor Swift's Concert Attack

JAKARTA - An 18-year-old Iraqi national has been detained in Vienna in connection with an investigation into alleged plans to attack Taylor Swift's concert in the Austrian capital.

As reported by Reuters on Friday, August 9, the Austrian Interior Ministry said the Iraqi citizen came from the same circle as the main suspect, a 19-year-old Austrian from North Macedonia.

The main suspect who took allegiance or pledge allegiance to ISIS, planned a deadly attack among around 20,000 Swifties gathered outside Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

The American pop star plans a concert in Vienna on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All three were canceled on Wednesday night due to security concerns.

Two other Austrian youths aged 17 and 15 were arrested on Wednesday on reports of the terror plan.

It was reported that a 15-year-old teenager had been released because he was a witness.
