The Head Of Traditional Villages In Buleleng Bali, Suspected Of Corruption In BKK Funds Of IDR 437 Million, Has Been Detained

BULELENG - The head of the Indigenous Village of Tista, Buleleng Regency, Bali, with the initials INS, was detained by the Buleleng District Attorney (Kejari), Bali.

INS is suspected of misappropriating the Special Financial Aid (BKK) funds from the Bali Provincial Government from 2015 to 2021.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Buleleng District Attorney's Office (Kejari), I Dewa Gede Baskara Haryasa, said INS was named a suspect in a corruption case.

"Based on the results of the audit of the Bali High Prosecutor's Supervision Auditor, the state financial actions incurred reached Rp. 437,420,200," he said, Thursday, August 8.

INS has been detained since Wednesday (7/8) at the Singaraja Penitentiary (Lapas).

Apart from INS, the prosecutor also named the treasurer of the Tista Traditional Village with the initials IKB. IKB is also suspected of being involved in the corruption case.

"INS is suspected of benefiting itself with acts (allegedly) of corruption worth Rp. 263,320,200 and IKB worth Rp. 174,100,000. How the mode of misappropriation is still in the investigation material," he added.

INS is suspected of corruption in the management and use of program funds or activities of the Mandara Integrated Village Development Movement (Gerbang Sadu Mandara) or BKK funds from 2015 to 2021 which has been received by the Tista Traditional Village.

Currently, the case file has been transferred to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for investigation so that it can be immediately transferred to the court.

INS and IKB were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
