Minister AHY Calls The Exemption Of 2,086 Hectares Of Land In IKN Continues To Be Strived

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said the land acquisition area of 2,086 hectares in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan (Kaltim), is still being pursued to be completed immediately.

AHY said that the Deputy Minister of ATR Raja Juli Antoni, who is also the Deputy Head of the IKN Authority, continues to oversee the situation there and continues to make field visits.

"Actually, of the existing thousands, there are still 2,086 hectares of locations where there are still people. These are also being escorted by friends in the field," AHY said after attending the Technical Working Meeting of the Directorate General of Land and Spatial Control and Control in Jakarta, Thursday, August 8, confiscated by Antara.

In solving the land problem, said AHY, it cannot be done in a hurry. Moreover, in the troubled land there are people who live.

According to AHY, good communication with the community must be the most important thing that must be firmly adhered to in solving defense problems.

"What is clear, yes, everything cannot be completed immediately, because indeed we must continue to communicate with the people who are there. This also continues to be our concern. I know it has been a long time, but yes indeed we can't just be careless, sliding and so on without any good agreement," he said.

AHY hopes that IKN development can continue without any people being victims. His party also continues to try to resolve it according to the rules.

"We hope that IKN can continue to process, development can continue without us hurting people's feelings and that no one of our people should be neglected or become victims of the development itself," said AHY.
