Celebrate Indonesian Game Day, Here Are A Row Of Games Made By Children Of The Nation Who Are Popular

JAKARTA - Indonesia has one of the fastest growing game sectors in the world. To celebrate Indonesian Game Day, Google displays various innovative games created by Indonesian developers, which are available on the Made in Indonesia page on the Google Play Store.

"This celebration not only respects the meaning of game culture in Indonesia, but also underlines the great potential of Indonesian game developers," wrote Google Indonesia in its official blog quoted Thursday, August 8.

Google is committed to encouraging the growth of the Indonesian game sector by offering space for local developers to show their expertise and reach a global audience.

The following are some of the games featured on the Made in Indonesia Game page:

Lokana: A thrilling Online Battle Arena (MOBA) Multiplayer Game, featuring characters and mythology inspired by Indonesian folklore. Lokala was developed by Anantarupa Studios, an alumni of the 2022 Indie Games Accelerator program.

Tofu Round Stories: A fun casual game where players run a tofu business, serve customers, and develop their stores. Tofu Round is the winner of the 2017 Indonesia Games Contest.

Nusantara's taste: Karya from Gambir Studios, alumni of the Indonesian Games Accelerator program, invites players to dive into various Indonesian heritages. Nusantara tastes not only display the creativity and talents of Indonesian game developers, but also provide platforms for cultural exchange and appreciation on a global scale.

Paw Rumble: Start an exciting adventure with adorable animal characters in this action-packed game. The Paw Rumble of the Nuon Games was named the winner of Best Made in Indonesia at the Google Play Best of 2023.

Cat Legends: Embedding yourself in a charming cat adventure with Cat Legends. Developed by Dreams Studio, alumni of Indie Games Accelerator, the game garnered impressive 200,000 pre-registrations worldwide before its launch on Google Play.

Google also stated its dedication to increasing the capacity of Indonesian game developers through various initiatives, including the Indie Games Accelerator, the Play x Unity Training program, and many more.
