Polish Man Proven Guilty Of Attacking Danish PM, Threatened With 4 Months In Prison And Deportation

JAKARTA - A 39-year-old Polish man was found guilty of assaulting Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in June.

CNN quoted a report by national television station DR as saying the man could face a sentence of four months in prison and deportation from Denmark for six years,

Frederiksen was attacked in a public field in the capital Copenhagen on June 7.

The Polish man admitted that he could not remember what happened, because he was drunk, according to DR.

Frederiksen, leader of Denmark's left-handed Democratic Socialist party, has served as prime minister since 2019.
