Menparekraf Affirms Sanur For Health Tourism Areas Not Beach Clubs

BADUNG - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno emphasized that the Sanur area, Bali, was developed for health tourism.

This was conveyed by Sandiaga in response to the plan to build a "beach club" or beach club on Jalan Danau Tamblingan in the Sanur area, Denpasar, which has recently experienced frequent congestion.

"After we carried out the deepening of the plan, it (the beach slab) was not continued, so because the government encouraged the Health SEZ, we further directed it to wellness tourism in Sanur," said Sandiaga, Wednesday, August 7.

In addition to health tourism, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy also reminded Bali based on cultural and regional tourism.

If you want to carry out development, it requires support from the environment and involves community leaders, so that every development gets a positive response.

Information about the plan to build a beach club in the Sanur area is known to Sandiaga Uno from the incoming reports where the construction site was installed with billboards for the construction of the club.

After being traced, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy found that the permit had not been submitted and there had been no consultation with the public.

"We hope that in the future this will be more friendly with the community so that they can provide input on development and investment in the region," he said.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy admitted that he did not have sentiment towards tourism, because his interest was indeed high, even investors often held meetings in similar places.

"There is also a beach club that has transformed into a village like Potato Head called Potato Head Village, this new concept that we must have, flexibility to provide quality and unforgettable experiences for tourists," he said.
