Luhut Says Prabowo Will Announce His Cabinet One Day After Being Inaugurated, Gerindra: We Have Not Been Invited To Talk

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, responded to the news conveyed by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan who said that the elected president Prabowo Subianto would announce the composition of his cabinet on October 21, 2024.

The announcement was made one day after the inauguration of the president and vice president for the period 2024-2029 which will take place on October 20, 2024. Prabowo is also said to be holding the inaugural cabinet meeting on October 23, 2024.

"If Mr. Luhut said that, he did often communicate with Pak Prabowo. So what was conveyed might be the result of Pak Luhut and Pak Prabowo's communication," said Dasco when confirmed, Tuesday, August 6.

However, Dasco said, until now the general chairman has not discussed the plan to announce the cabinet after being inaugurated in internal Gerindra.

"For us, so far we have not been invited to communicate regarding the date of determining the minister or the cabinet announcement," said Dasco.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that the presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election Prabowo Subianto plans to announce the composition of his cabinet on October 21, 2024 or the day after being inaugurated as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024 period. 2029.

Prabowo conveyed his plan to Luhut when the two attended a limited meeting (ratas) with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, August 5. He also revealed the contents of his conversation with Prabowo.
