22 Artwear For MSME Products Pupuk Indonesia Group Appears At Jember Fashion Carnaval 2024

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) together with the Indonesian Pupuk Employee Wives Association (PIKA-PI) joined the 2024 Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) by displaying 22 fertilizer bags in Jember, East Java, Saturday, August 3. This performance is an effort by the Company to introduce the work of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by Pupuk Indonesia Groups in the national and international arenas.

The chairman of the PIKA-PI Group, Tata Rahmad Pribadi, said that Pupuk Indonesia and PIKA-PI encourage fostered MSMEs, especially those engaged in the field of wastra (traditional cloth full of the meaning of the culture of the archipelago) to rise to caste and go internationally. One of his efforts is to actively participate in international level events, such as the JFC which has been going on for more than two decades.

"We see that the MSME products fostered by Pupuk Indonesia are good, and have the potential to appear in national and international events. Participation in JFC 2024 is our joint effort to encourage MSMEs to expand their market. We know that JFC is one of the icons of Indonesia in the international world and is included in the Top 10 superior event of Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2024 Kemenparekraf RI," said Tata, in his statement, Monday 5 August. He added that all the artwear exhibited later 30 percent of the materials use fertilizer sacks from Pupuk Indonesia Group products. Symbolically the use of these raw materials is also a form of support for the sustainability of the agricultural industry. Meanwhile, all artwear is in collaboration with two leading designers, namely Temma Prasetio and Maya Ratih.

Tata further explained that Pupuk Indonesia's participation in displaying 22 artwear at Jember Fashion Carnaval was an effort by the Company towards a more prestigious event, namely Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2025. Previously, Pupuk Indonesia also introduced fostered MSME products through the Pesona Kriya Pupuk Indonesia 2024.

In addition, Pupuk Indonesia is also providing MSME development so that its competence increases and can produce products that compete at the national and global levels. Guidance is also carried out by including MSME actors in a number of exhibitions, especially those on a world scale.

"This partnership between Pupuk Indonesia and MSMEs aims to create a sustainable ecosystem and improve the economy and independence of MSME actors, especially women. We believe that every work produced by MSMEs has the potential to create a positive impact. These works displayed reflect the diversity of culture, traditions, and creativity that has merged into an extraordinary collection of MSME designers and craftsmen in Indonesia," concluded Tata.

In addition to participants from within the country, in JFC 2024, 136 participants from Japan were also present who participated voluntarily. Apart from art, Japan will also display its traditional fireworks. In addition, they also want to learn about culture to Jember culinary to be brought to Japan.
