Investigate Reports Of 2 Key Witnesses, Bareskrim Examines 7 Convicts In Vina Case At Bandung Prison

Bareskrim Polri examined seven convicts in the murder case of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky Cirebon in Kebon Waru Prison and Lapas Ukung Bandung, West Java (West Java).

The convict's attorney Roely Panggabean said the examination of the seven convicts was to follow up on his party's reporting of key witnesses Aep and Dede to the National Police Headquarters.

"That's right, this afternoon there was an examination carried out by the National Police Headquarters in connection with our report to the National Police Headquarters, where what we reported were Aep and Dede," said Roelly in Bandung, West Java (West Java), Monday, August 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

Roely stated that the Bareskrim Polri investigator wanted to confirm the report represented by his party. Because they are still serving detention in the two prisons.

"Last week we went to the National Police Headquarters to provide information as well as witnesses, but maybe the National Police Headquarters also still wants other evidence," he said.

According to him, investigators want to examine the convicts to obtain the necessary evidence. They do not know for sure how long the investigation will be carried out and will be escalated to an investigation.

"So maybe today the National Police Headquarters wants to believe and meet directly with the convicts about the report I made whether it was true or not," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the convict's legal team, Jutek Bongso, added that his party was ready to present a number of witnesses who claimed that there were no incidents of murder at the Tanung flyover, Cirebon eight years ago.

"We have presented many witnesses. Of course, the witnesses saw them at Mr. RT's house, and the witnesses around the location did not see the incident," said Jutek.

Jutek hopes that with the arrival of Bareskrim Polri to examine his clients, it can pave the way for truth. Because, he said, on August 27, 2016, the seven convicts were not at the scene of the murder in Cirebon.

"For us the focus is not an accident or murder. Our focus is that whatever our client it was, whether it was a murder incident, whether it was an accident, our client actually gave their alibi not at the scene and they weren't the perpetrators of the incident," he said.
