US Naval Helicopter Landing Emergency In Japan's Kanagawa Rice Field

JAKARTA - The United States military helicopters made an emergency landing on rice fields in Japan, without causing any casualties.

Reuters reported the NHK report that there was no damage from the accident before 11.00, Saturday, August 3, in the Kanagawa prefecture adjacent to the capital.

The 12-manned helicopter, marked by the Navy, took off about 1 hour 40 minutes later.

The US military suspected the incident was due to engine problems but had not provided further explanations, the television station said.

A phone call to the US Navy in Japan to request a response has not yet been responded to.
