Apple To Launch Two Folding Devices In 2026

JAKARTA In addition to developing a new device that will be launched this year, including the iPhone 16, Apple is also focused on setting up the device to be launched in the coming years. Since the beginning of this year, Apple is reportedly developing a foldable device to launch in 2026. The latest report from Analyst Jeff Pu revealed that Apple will launch two foldable devices at once, namely the iPhone and the foldable iPad. At the end of July, Apple signed a panel supply contract to develop its first foldable phone. Reportedly, this foldable phone will use a vertical fold or clamshell style method, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Flip. In addition to folding phones, Apple will also develop an unusual device, namely the hybrid iPad/MacBook.

This device is a foldable iPad and works like a MacBook with a full screen size of 18.8 inches. Despite launching in the same year, Jeff Pu expects that the folding iPad will roll out first, while the folding iPhone will launch at the end of the year.

Apparently, this phone will be released in conjunction with other iPhone series.

To date, information about Apple's foldable device is still very limited. It is not yet known what chipset will be used, what design it will be, what features it will bring, and what the device's name will be. During the folding device development process, some changes may occur. Apple can launch its foldable iPhone and iPad sooner or even longer than expected.
