Heaty Situation, Dutch KLM Suspends Flight To Tel Aviv Israel Until October 26

JAKARTA - Dutch airline KLM has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 26.

Meanwhile, Air India has suspended operations to the city until August 8, due to rising tensions in the Middle East region.

"KLM's decision is based on security reasons, with companies not operating flights over Israel, Iran and Iraq," an airline spokesman was quoted as saying by Dutch news portal Nu.nl.

Air India said it was monitoring the situation in the area to ensure the safety of its passengers and crew.

"Given the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended our scheduled flight operations to and from Tel Aviv to 08 August 2024," the airline wrote on X.

Airlines from several countries have also suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut amid rising situations in the Middle East. Flights have been stopped by airlines Delta, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Fly Dubai.

The international community is preparing for a possible response from Iran and its allies given Israel's latest military action, including the assassination of military winger Hamas Mohammed Def, senior commander of Hezbollah Fuad Shukr, and airstrikes targeting the Al Hudaydah port in Yemen.
