Persija's Last Chance To End The Pre-season Sweetly
JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta's pre-season journey has not been completed. They did fail to advance to the 2024 President's Cup final, but there is still one chance to close the pre-season sweetly.
The Kemayoran Tigers will try to win third place in the 2024 Presidential Cup. Carlos Pena's team are scheduled to meet Persis Solo at Manahan Stadium on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 19.30 WIB.
"We are preparing for the same as the previous match. Preparation for the match is part of our preparation for League 1," said Carlos Pena.
"We are still trying to win the match. We want to end the 2024 President's Cup with the best results. We have to be better to look at the first match of Liga 1," he said again.
Persija's seriousness in winning third place in the 2024 Presidential Cup can be seen from the way Carlos Pena prepared the team.

The coach has studied Persis' pattern of play and prepared the best strategy to win.
"Against Persis is certainly difficult because they play at home and have quality players."
"We will do our best, try to dominate the trust, and try to be better at attacking and defending."
"I hope we win and finish third," said the Spaniard.
Persija greatly maximizes three days of pause for preparation. The Kemayoran Tiger midfielder, Maciej Gajos, revealed that he and his colleagues were ready from a physical point of view to a strategy.
A number of shortcomings that emerged throughout the group phase until the semifinals had already been evaluated. Concentration and strategy for dealing with dead balls are Persija's shortcomings which are expected not to be repeated in the match against Persis.
"Our preparations are a little different because in the last match in the semifinals we lost. After a break of a few days now, we are ready to compete again," said Gajos.
"I look forward to winning the game. We are also preparing before starting Liga 1."
"We have to play better, better in every game. We also have to concentrate even more," said Gajos.
Apart from that, Persija certainly failed to repeat their success in winning the 2018 Presidential Cup or the third edition.
