JK Attends The Funeral Of Hamas Leader Haniyeh In Qatar

JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla attended the funeral of Palestinian warrior group leader Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh in Doha, Qatar.

In a video shared by the Special Staff for Media, Jusuf Kalla, Yadi, JK wearing a white shirt and black skullcap stood on the side of the tomb with a number of other figures.

He raised his hand when the funeral administrator offered a prayer.

In addition, the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Indonesian People's Alliance to Defend Palestine (ARI-BP) Prof. Din Syamsudin was also seen on the back of JK.

A total of two stakes are in Haniyeh's grave covered in sand and rocks.

Previously, JK departed for Qatar on Thursday (1/8) to attend Haniyeh's funeral.

"This fulfills the hope that we send the Indonesian delegation there and we are invited to attend the funeral of the late Ismail Haniyeh," said JK in a statement before leaving.

The Hamas leader died with his aides as a result of a missile attack targeting his residence in northern Tehran, Iran on Wednesday (31/7).
