Legendary Car Concept Memuka Honda HP-X Kembali Hidup
JAKARTA The concept car of the past that was made far beyond its time has resurfaced. Honda together with Pininfarina, managed to restore the concept of the HP-X car, Honda's first car concept, which was first introduced in 1984.
This concept car, called Honda, became the initial inspiration for the development of NSX and will again become the center of attention to the Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegence 2024 event, the annual automotive event held at Pebble Beach Golf Links at Pebble Beach, California on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
With a radical body design, having no doors, a large canopy from Perspex, and a mid-liter V6 2.0 machine, HP-X is a work of moving art that combines future aesthetics and technologies.
"Honda HP-X Concept is the star of the 1984 Turin Auto Show, featuring elements of advanced engineering and design excellence, with extreme ball styles that continue to inspire future generation car designers and engineers," said Dave airing, design executive Acura and honorary jury Pebble Beach Concourses, quoted from the manufacturer's media room, August 2.
The far-minded HP-X has an undeniable impact on the industry highlighting our commitment to pushing the boundaries that may exist in automotive designs," he continued.
Known as Honda's first concept car, HP-X was designed by the legendary Italian design house, Pininfarina. After 40 years, this car returned to Pininfarina's workshop to undergo a full restoration process. Now, in prime condition, HP-X is ready to compete in the category of "Wedge-Shaped Concept Cars and Prototypes" at Pebble Beach.
