Megawati Hanggetri Enters The SEA V League 2024 Squad

JAKARTA volleyball star Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi was called into the Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team squad for the 2024 SEA V League.

The Southeast Asian level tournament will take place in two rounds. The first round will be held on 2-4 August 2024 in Vietnam, while the second round will take place from 9-11 August 2024 in Thailand.

Megawati was included in the 14 names summoned by the Central Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI).

"Players who are called are a mix of seniors and juniors. We want regeneration to be done. We also give junior players the opportunity to appear in the SEA V League," said Deputy Head of Development and Achievement of PBVSI Management, Loudry Maspaitella.

The player who was called has gathered at the General Kunarto Volleyball Padepokan, Sentul, since July 28, 2024.

Apart from Megawati, other senior players who were also called up to face this tournament included Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah Sugandi and Ratri Wulandari.

"The competition to become champions is very tight because Thailand and Vietnam always field their best players," said Loudry.

Indonesia will start the struggle in the first round on Friday, August 2, 2024, against Thailand. The match will take place at 16.00 WIB.

After that, Megawati and her friends met Vietnam in a row on August 3, 2024 at 19.00 WIB and finally fought the Philippines on August 4, 2024 at 16.00 WIB.
