Add Indonesia U-20 Strength, PSSI Prepares Ammunition Of 3 New Names Of Descendants Players

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team will get additional ammunition to appear stronger. PSSI is currently taking care of three new names of descendants to become part of the team.

This was revealed by coach Indra Sjafri who had just escorted the team to win the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup. Currently PSSI is processing the documents of the three players so that they can join immediately during the Garuda Muda training camp (TC).

"Currently it is being taken care of (the new players). If I'm not mistaken, three players are of descent. We'll just have to wait and see if it will be completed (the process)," said Indra Sjafri in a statement quoted on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

"However, I will try to talk to the club (the player in question) so that (at least) two players can join immediately in South Korea (for TC)," he said again.

After leading the team to win the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup, Indra Sjafri will return to call players and gather them on August 11, 2024 in Jakarta. Later after a week of training in Jakarta, the team will leave for Seoul, South Korea.

The U-20 Indonesian national team will take part in the Seoul Earth On Us Cup U-19 2024 tournament in Ginseng Country. At this event, Garuda Muda will face Argentina, Thailand, and South Korea.

The duel against Argentina will take place on August 28, 2024 and will continue to face Thailand on August 30, 2024. Then, Indonesia U-20's last match on September 1, 2024, will face the host South Korea.

All matches in the mini tournament will be presented at the Seoul Mokdong Stadium.
