Shawn Mendes Prepares To Launch A Reflective New Album
JAKARTA - Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes via Instagram upload announced the schedule for the release of the fifth studio album and its new single.
"Shawn The Album is out 10.18 (October 18). Two initial singles, Why Why & Isn't That Enough came out on my birthday 8.8 (August)," Shawn Mendes wrote in the caption. Instagram upload.
Based on a press release quoted by People, Shawn Mendes' self-titled album this time is the most musically intimate and lyrically honest work to date. He promised listeners a deep self-reflection on the 12 songs presented.
The 25-year-old singer also provided footage of a black-and-white music video for her new folk song, "Isn't That Enough".
"Music can really be used as medicine," wrote Mendes in the caption for uploading music video footage.
"Two years ago I felt like I didn't know who I was at all. A year ago I couldn't step into the studio without really panicking. So, being here now with 12 beautiful songs that have been finished feels like a gift."
Mendes also thanked God, a close friend and family who had supported him. He felt guided to be better by trusted people.
"I don't know how I've been able to get through the last few years let alone make an album without you."

Not to forget, Mendes also thanked fans who were patient and full of gratitude for supporting him.
"I really hope you like this album, I really like it. I really like it. I hope this makes you feel warm and close to the earth as I feel."
For information, the album 'Shawn' comes two years after the musician postponed and then canceled his 2022 world tour.
The new project was recorded over a span of two years in various locations, including Nosara in Costa Rica, Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck in New York, Bear Creek Studio in Washington, Darkhorse Recordings in Nashville, and the Electric Lady studio in NYC.
The album itself was inspired by Shawn Mendes' journey and experience over the past few years, which he wants to share with fans.
