The Champion Again, Carrie Underwood Replaces Katy Perry As Judge Of American Idol

Carrie Underwood is back 'home' to American Idol. She was just announced to fill the vacant jury position, replacing the pop diva Katy Perry.

He himself won the event in the fourth season of 2005. Now he is back on the stage of the singing contest as a judge.

Actually, this isn't Carrie's first time performing at American Idol. She appeared in the grand final in 2022, and was present several times as a mentor.

The singer of the song Blown Away will carry out her duties in the 23rd season which will air next year. She sits side by side with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan who have been in the jury for quite a while.

Carrie Underwood is considered worthy of being a replacement for Katy Perry with a brilliant career. Throughout his nearly two decades career, he has won many awards including eight Grammy trophies.

With his experience and musicality, he is expected to give his own color at American Idol next season.
