Putin Warmly Welcomes Prabowo: Happy To Play, Welcome
JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with the elected president of the Republic of Indonesia and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto during a working visit to Moscow.
"I'm very happy to see you, welcome," Putin said welcoming Prabowo quoted from a Kremlin statement, Wednesday, July 31.
Putin admitted that he knew Prabowo not only from the military track record, but from Indonesian political figures.
"I know that you have developed a very good relationship with your Russian colleagues," Putin said.
Indonesia and Russia continued Putin have had very long friendly relationships for decades. Next year Indonesia-Russia will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
It should be noted that trade and economic relations have grown quite successfully recently, despite the pandemic and all the events that have occurred around Russia and related restrictions, our trade turnover is still growing - has doubled in recent years.
