After Turkey, Prabowo To Russia Scheduled To Meet Putin Today
JAKARTA - Indonesian Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto continued his journey from Ankara, Turkey, to Moscow, Russia. Prabowo is scheduled to meet a number of Russian ministers and President Vladimir Putin.
Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Brigadier General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha explained that Prabowo and the Indonesian delegation arrived in Moscow on Tuesday evening, July 30, and the entire agenda for the meeting is scheduled to take place today, Wednesday, July 31.
"The agenda for the visit began with a meeting at the Russian Ministry of Defense, where Defense Minister Prabowo met with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belusov. This meeting is expected to discuss various important issues related to defense cooperation between the two countries," Adrian said when contacted, Wednesday, July 31, as reported by Antara.
He continued, Prabowo was then scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, Moscow.
"This meeting is an important moment in strengthening diplomatic relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Russia," he said.
At Vnukovo Airport, Moscow, Prabowo's arrival was welcomed by the Deputy Director of State Protocol of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aleksander Vladimirovich Prusov, Indonesian Ambassador to Russia concurrently Belarus Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, and the Indonesian Defense Attache in Moscow First Marshal of the Indonesian Armed Forces Jatmiko Adi.
