Semarang Walkot Mbak Ita Asks To Be Recalled By KPK 1 August
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the Mayor of Semarang, Heverita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita, did not attend the summons of investigators regarding the alleged corruption in the Semarang City Government (Pemkot), East Java today, Tuesday, July 30. He asked for a reschedule on Thursday, August 1st."“Kemarin has submitted a request for rescheduling on August 1, 2024,”" KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30.Tessa said the request for rescheduling was submitted because Ita had already been scheduled to attend an official event, namely the Semarang City DPRD Plenary Meeting regarding the ratification of the 2024 RAPBD. “ So the information was submitted yesterday,” he said.Meanwhile, for Ita's husband, Alwin Basri has been investigated regarding the alleged corruption that occurred in Semarang City. However, Tessa did not want to elaborate further on the examination of the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD."Of course the witnesses who were present were examined regarding their knowledge regarding the case, which we have read out,” said the spokesman with the investigator's background.As previously reported, the investigation of three alleged corruption crimes within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot) began. The details are the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023 – 2024, allegations of extortion against civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as allegations of receiving gratuities in 2023-2024.There have been four people who have been prevented from leaving the country for the first six months. The details are two state administrators while the rest are private.Based on information circulating, the four people who were prevented were Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu who was the Mayor of Semarang with her husband, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.
In this case, the anti-corruption commission has named four suspects. The notification letter for the start of the investigation (SPDP) has been sent and is said to have been received by them even though it has not been submitted.
