Waiting For 13 Years Ends, Govinda Returns With New Album

JAKARTA - After 13 years, finally Govinda released a new album entitled 'Govinda Live Studio Session London - 2023'.

This album became iconic for Ifan (vocals), Ade (guitar), Luki (bass), and Jeje (drums). Not only because of the long wait, but also recorded at the legendary studio Abbey Road Studios.

"There must be no satisfaction, but it is enough to represent to remind Domino's song (the band name before changing to Govinda)," said Ade in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

"And from the arrangement, we also want live recording. That's actually the homework. But we are also proud to be mixed with the Abbey Road operator," continued Ade.

The footage made last year has become another experience for Govinda. They are satisfied to be able to record live in the same studio The Beatles once used.

"We record live, where all personnel play directly. Previously, they were on track, usually the drums were one by one. Now I think they are more hit, in sync with each other," said Luki.

To prepare the recording carefully, the personnel also had time to train for a full month at Jeje's residence.

Furthermore, Govinda will also prepare for the tour after releasing the album. Unmitigated, they are eyeing tours around Asian countries.

"So this is a really surprise, yes, on the way to this album, yesterday someone cheated on me from Malaysia and Singapore. Yes, I hope it can be promoted, the target is out. Because the album is already London, at least it's Asian tour," concluded Tina, representative of MyMusic Records as label.
