KPK Examines Former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan Regarding The Harun Masiku Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still investigating former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan today.

He was questioned regarding a bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who ensnared him and former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku.

"That's right, witness WS was present and asked for information in the bribery case with the suspect HM," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Monday, July 29.

Wahyu, a former convict in a bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW), arrived at around 09.50 WIB. He was seen sitting in the reception area of the building wearing a black long-sleeved shirt before climbing into the investigator's room.

Previously reported, the KPK also examined former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan on Thursday, December 28. At that time he was asked about the bribery of former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku who was still at large.

In addition, KPK investigators are also exploring several things, including Harun's whereabouts. However, Wahyu admitted that he did not know about it.

As for the bribery case of Harun Masiku, investigators have prevented five people from leaving the country. One of them is the staff of the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi.
