NMAX Turbo Performance Tests Long Distance Driving Through The Boemi Nusantara Tour Program

JAKARTA - PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg (YIMM) held the Boemi Nusantara Tour program to test the performance of NMAX TURBO, where the activity is oriented towards trading experience which will take place from July 25 to October.

Divided into 13 stages of travel that cross 6 major islands in Indonesia, namely Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sumatra, Sulawesi and also Kalimantan, participants involved in the NTBN event will be invited to explore the natural beauty and culture of Indonesia, while directly proving the performance and sophistication of new features on motorbikes in supporting the need for long-distance mobility.

"In order to bring a new driving experience that is more enjoyable to media crews and premium scutik lovers in the country, Yamaha also held a long-distance touring activity entitled NMAX Tour Boemi Nusantara for the next 4 months," said Asst General Manager of Marketing Public Relations of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg Antonius Widiantoro, in Yogyakarta.

The man who is familiarly called Anton said that this program is not only limited to exploring the natural beauty and various Indonesian cultures that span from West to East.

"Touring as far as thousands of kilometers is also a moment to prove the various advanced features of NMAX TURBO, in conquering various terrains in Indonesia," he added.

Etape pertama rangkaian touring NTBN sendiri, mengambil rute perjalanan Jakarta Yogyakarta sejauh lebih dari 500 kilometer yang berlangsung dari 25 27 Juli lalu.

On the first day of the trip, a group of participants consisting of dozens of national media crews including VOI and the Maxi Yamaha community took the starting point from the Yamaha Flagship Shop, Cempaka Putih, Jakarta and headed straight to Cirebon city via the Pantura route. Interestingly, when visiting Cirebon City, the participants were greeted and on the portal by members of the local MAXi community.

The next day, the media crew headed towards the Dieng plateau via Bawang-Khayangan. This line is quite challenging, because it is dominated by inclines and long derivatives accompanied by sharp bends. But on the other hand, at this moment the media crews who drive NMAX TURBO can actually try the Riding Mode and Y-shift features more optimally.

This is as stated by Farhan Maulana Syarif, one of the YRFI Community who participated in the event.

"The road to Dieng via Bawang is really challenging. The long steep slopes and derivatives accompanied by sharp twists are very testing driving skills. But in fact this condition is suitable to try the YECVT technology in NMAX "TURBO". And for me personally the sensation of driving a turbo is not a gimmick. A steep incline can be cleared without any problems. When the decline is steep, it's just a matter of playing the Y-Shift, the motorbike immediately decelerates instantly. This motorbike is really fun to ride," he said.

Arriving in Dieng, the participants stayed overnight, and the next day took the time to explore several tourist spots there, such as Arjuna Temple and also Batu Pandang which is the location of the 0 point of the Dieng highlands which indeed presents very exotic views.

After being satisfied with exploring tourist spots, the trip was then continued to the city of Yogyakarta via Magelang and finished at Prambanan Temple, Klaten, Central Java. Prambanan Temple itself was chosen as the location for the finish of the Etape 1 NTBN touring trip, because it was the venue for the grand event MAXI Yamaha Day 2024 for the first time.

During a 3-day touring activity with NMAX TURBO, many appreciations were given by the media crew for the performance of motorcycle riding. In addition to being satisfied with the function of the Y-Shift feature and also Riding Mode which provides a new feeling of driving, the new generation of NMAX trading position is also considered more comfortable than the previous model. The reason is, the body design in the middle is considered slimmer so that it makes the position of the leg more free to narrow the middle deck mark area.

The series of NMAX Tour Boemi Nusantara events will soon enter the second stage, namely the Yogyakarta Madiun Surabaya route on 29 July 31.
