Regarding The Code Of Saikhu Wants To Join Prabowo, PKS Is Considered Tired Of Being An Opposition

JAKARTA - Executive Director of the Voxpol Center Reseach and Consulting, Pangi Syarwi Chaniago assessed that PKS President Ahmad Saikhu's code of hope to be invited to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government indicating PKS fatigue acts as an opposition.

"If the PKS President's joke is a code, maybe because PKS has been tired as an opposition for the last ten years," he said, Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Pangi stated that there were actually no issues related to the relationship between Gerindra and PKS. This was proven by PKS' support for Prabowo in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.

"Maybe now there is a problem either in Mr. Jokowi or something else. Meanwhile, Mr. Dasco [Daily Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad] is considered capable of bridging communication through Syaikhu's joke, who says don't just Nasdem or PKB are invited to the government of Pak Prabowo," he explained.

According to him, although there are different choices in the 2024 presidential election, relations between the two parties, including Prabowo and PKS themselves, are still going well. Therefore, if there is an invitation to join a new government, it is actually just a matter of finding the point of equality.

"Now it's just a matter of how Pak Prabowo responded to this. Because he's already fat and the coalition, all that's left is PDIP if PKS later joins," said Pangi.

PKS President Ahmad Saikhu spread the code, including emphasizing the importance of collaboration from elements of the nation and then asking to be invited to join the upcoming government led by Prabowo-Gibran.

This was said by Saikhu during his speech at the National Working Conference (Mukernas) and the 26th PKB Harlah at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23.
