Max Verstappen Records Fastest Time In Belgian GP Qualification, But Leading Leclerc Start

JAKARTA - Max Verstappen recorded the fastest time in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. But the Red Bull racer will start the race from 11th place due to a 10-place penalty due to a change in power units. As a result, Charles Leclerc will start the race from pole position.

Verstappen showed impressive speed during the session, recording the best time of 1 minute 53,159 seconds, half a second faster than Leclerc's Ferrari. Sergio Perez also performed well by placing his Red Bull in third place, ahead of Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes who was in fourth place.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri each occupy fifth and sixth positions for McLaren, while Mercedes George Russell is in seventh place.

Carlos Sainz won eighth place for Ferrari, followed by Fernando Alonso who finished ninth at Aston Martin and Esteban Ocon who completed the top ten for Alpine.

In the eleventh position, Alex Albon only lost narrowly to Q3 by a gap of three thousand seconds at Williams, while Pierre Gasly followed in 12th position for Alpine. Daniel Ricciardo is in 13th position with RB, ahead of Valtteri Bottas from Kick Sauber in 14th and Lance Stroll whose Aston Martin car was successfully repaired after the FP3 accident in 15th position.

The Haas pair, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, had a disappointing day, both of whom were eliminated in Q1 in 16th and 17th positions, while Yuki Tsunoda was also eliminated in 18th place, even though the RB racer was already scheduled to start the race from behind due to an engine penalty.
