Mazda Factory Construction In Indonesia Begins, Investment Reaches IDR 400 Billion
JAKARTA - PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) as a distributor of Mazda in the country revealed that the construction of the factory has begun, in West Java.
This was revealed by the Managing Director of Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) Ricky Thio, where according to him the factory has now been built, such as roads and walls.
"We have woken up and now we are building roads and walls," he told the media crew some time ago.
Unfortunately, he did not elaborate in more detail on the location of the factory and what models to be made at the factory, but he made sure the factory had positive progress.
"Later, when it is progress and already bonafit, we will invite media friends to see," he added.
He further said the factory would also become one of Mazda's car manufacturing centers, and would not elaborate further, including the car's export plans.
"First, it's domestic needs, neat, then export. But I can't talk about exports first," he added.

As is known, Mazda's assembly center in Indonesia is based on Mazda Motor Corporation's careful and strategic understanding of the large potential in the country.
Previously, in early March 2024 Mazda announced a significant step by establishing an Assembly Center in Indonesia, which marks a new era in partnership between Mazda Motor Corporation (MC) and PT EMI.
PT EMI estimates that the compact crossover will become the main segment category produced in this facility, considering that this segment category is most in demand by Indonesian consumers.
Investment support from PT EMI which is estimated to reach around Rp400 billion for project preparation as a whole also shows the company's determination to become a reliable extension to MC, especially in PT EMI's efforts to become a key player in encouraging the growth of the automotive and economic industry in Indonesia.
