KPK Finds Evidence Related To Alleged Corruption In Semarang City Government

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated evidence related to allegations of corruption in the Semarang City Government, Central Java. Among them are evidence of revised APBD documents to notes on the flow of money.

"From this process, several documents have been confiscated. One of them is related to changes in the APBD, records related to the flow of funds, as well as electronic documents that are suspected to be related as or in the form of files stored in computers and several smartphones," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, July 19.

Tessa said this finding was obtained when investigators made forced efforts in the city of Semarang. However, he did not want to talk further about the search.

This is because investigators are still doing their job.

"Until now, it has been stated that investigation activities are still ongoing," he said.

"For the location, it's only in Semarang City, so it doesn't come out of Semarang City. There are several places where investigation activities have been carried out," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK stated that there were three allegations of corruption within the Semarang City Government that were being handled. The details are the procurement of goods or services within the Semarang City Government from 2023 to 2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants for incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities from 2023 to 2024.

There have been four people who have been prevented from leaving the country for the first six months. The details are two state administrators while the rest are private.

Based on information circulating, those prevented were Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu who was the Mayor of Semarang with her husband, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.
