Bareskrim Arrest Fugitives In TIP Cases In Lowing Work Mode

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, arrested a woman who was wanted in an online fraud case or online scam of an international network with the mode of offering job vacancies for part-time.

Kasubdit II Dittipisiber Bareskrim Polri Kombes Alfis said the suspect with the initials L acted as an operator in the network.

"The suspect has the initials L, an Indonesian citizen, a woman, from Sukabumi, West Java," said Alfis to reporters, Friday, July 19.

Suspect L is an online fraud operator. He worked abroad for about 3 months.

"His role as an operator, acts as an operator. He works in Dubai as that operator from May to August 2023," he said.

As for the arrest, suspect L was arrested on July 17, 2024. Starting from Interpol information which stated that the woman was detected trying to get to Jakarta from Dubai.

With this information, investigators are waiting for the suspect's arrival at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta).

"So we from the Dittipidiber Bareskrim Polri checked at Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta Airport and it turned out to be true that the suspect we have published at the red notice on November 23, 2023 is really one of the suspects we are looking for," said Alfis.

Previously reported, Bareskrim Polri uncovered a syndicate of people trafficking crimes or international network TIPs. Syndicate uses the mode of offering job vacancies for part-time.

From the disclosure, there were four people named as suspects. They have the initials ZS, M, H, and NSS.
