Kominfo Appoints Hokky Situngkir As The New Director General Of Aptika Kominfo

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology officially appointed Hokky Situngkir as the new Director General of Informatics Applications (Aptica) of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, replacing Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan.

Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) Usman Kansong has also confirmed the truth of the news.

"That's right (the appointment of Hokky Situngkir as the new Director General of Aptika KemKominfo)," said Usman when confirmed by VOI on Friday, July 19.

Previously, Semuel or who is familiarly called Semmy announced his resignation from the position of Director General of Aptika on July 4, due to a ransomware incident that attacked the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) 2.

At that time, Semmy said that his resignation was a form of moral responsibility for him as Director General of Trustees in the process of transforming the government.

"So I take this responsibility morally, and I say it should be finished with me. Because this is a problem that I should have handled well," said Usman at the time.

Before officially inaugurating Hokky as Director General of Aptika, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi had appointed Ismail as Acting Director General of Aptika.
