NasDem Still Offers Ilham Habibie Cagub West Java To Golkar Even Though Ridwan Kamil Is Already There
Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Hermawi Taslim, admitted that he would come to another political party to present Ilham Akbar Habibie to be supported as a candidate for Governor of West Java in the 2024 Pilkada.
NasDem has brought Ilham closer to PKS. The plan is that NasDem will also bring Ilham to the Golkar Party. Although, Golkar is predicted to carry its cadre who is also a former governor, Ridwan Kamil, to run again in the West Java gubernatorial election.
"After (PKS), we will think about where he will go again. He is also from the big Golkar family, we will bring Ilham by adjusting the schedule that has been compiled by West Java friends," said Hermawi when met at the PKS DPP office, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.
Basically, Hermawi said that NasDem remains open to any political party interested in joining the coalition to carry the son of the 3rd President BJ Habibie in the West Java gubernatorial election.
"Ilham is from a national figure, he is open and has a dialogue with anyone. We are okay with all parties," said Hermawi.
Today, NasDem visited the PKS DPP office by bringing Ilham Akbar Habibie, a candidate for Governor of West Java who will be promoted in the 2024 Pilkada.

Hermawi admitted that NasDem needed other political parties to form a coalition in this year's West Java gubernatorial election. Therefore, NasDem invited PKS who had 19 seats in the West Java DPRD legislative election to take Ilham. Moreover, Hermawi views that PKS is suitable to re-collisate with NasDem like the 2024 presidential election.
"Our arrival here is to stay in touch, complement each other. PKS even though there are so many seats in West Java, it's still not enough. Moreover, NasDem is only 8. So, if we can repeat the success story of the coalition 01, why not?" said Hermawi.
According to Hermawi, West Java is one of the strategic provinces for political parties to carry out its governor-deputy candidates. Hermawi hopes that PKS can immediately state its approval to form a coalition in the West Java gubernatorial election.
"We are also paying attention to the narrower grace period. Therefore, following up on the meeting between the PKS president and the NasDem General Chair two weeks ago, it was emphasized again that we will immediately be narrowing down, criticizing, especially in West Java and DKI," explained Hermawi.
"We have to be compatible in West Java. PKS with so many chairs is not enough alone, let alone NasDem. So we will continue to build this togetherness until we have a mutual agreement," he added.
