Getting Instructions From Golkar Maju Cagub Jakarta, Jusuf Hamka: Innalillahi, This Is A Heavy Job
JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Golkar Party gave an instruction letter to the toll road entrepreneur, Jusuf Hamka, to run as a candidate for governor in the Jakarta Pilkada.
After being given an instruction letter, Jusuf Hamka, who is familiarly called Babah Alun, admitted that he was surprised because previously he had only previously been tasked with being a cawagub.
"This means that the task is difficult. But yes, my first response, innalilahi wa innailaihi raji'un. Surely from Allah it will return to Allah," said Jusuf Hamka at the Golkar Party DPP office, Slipi, Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.
However, even though it was difficult, Jusuf Hamka admitted that he accepted his duties as a governor and cawagub in Jakarta. He believes that this tough task will be easy if God wants to.
"This is a tough job. If Allah wants, the heavy ones can be light. But if Allah doesn't want light things, it will be difficult," Hamka said while baliking the instruction letter he had just received from the secretary general of the Golkar Party.

"We have given an instruction letter to Babah Alun or Mr. Jusuf Hamka. People say, Mr. Toll Road. The task given to him is as a candidate for governor, and a candidate for deputy governor," said Secretary General of the Golkar Party, Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus at the Golkar DPP Office, Slipi, Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.
Lodewijk emphasized that Jusuf Hamka was one of the names that Golkar considered to be promoted as a candidate for governor or deputy governor.
He said the Golkar Party would continue to monitor the results of Jusuf Hamka's electability survey for the next few days. He hopes that the survey will show good numbers for Babah Alun to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
According to him, there is still time to decide before the registration of candidates for governor and deputy governor for the 2024 Pilkada which falls on August 27-29.
"We will see what the Babah Alun survey looks like. Hopefully we have good choice variables, both for the deputy governor and as the governor of the special area of the capital city of Jakarta," said Lodewijk.
