Alleged Gratification Of Semarang City Government, Thursday Morning KPK Checks Beapa Head Of Service
SEMARANG - A number of heads of agencies and agencies within the Semarang City Government were questioned by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Thursday, July 18, in the follow-up investigation of a number of suspected corruption cases in the capital city of Central Java Province.
The officials were questioned on the 8th floor of the Moch Ihsan Building, which is located in the Semarang City Hall complex.
A number of KPK investigators entered the room, followed by one by one the officials entering one of the rooms on the 8th floor of the Moch Ihsan Building.
From ANTARA's observations, a number of officials who entered the room, including the Head of the Irwansyah Spatial Planning Service, the Head of the Sunarto Diskominfo, and the Head of the Education and Training Personnel Agency Joko Hartono.
It is not yet known the connection between the examination of a number of these officials and the investigation carried out by the anti-corruption agency.
In addition to examining a number of high-ranking Semarang City Government officials, KPK investigators also searched a number of rooms at the Semarang City Hall.
Previously, the KPK said the search was related to three cases of alleged corruption within the Semarang City Government.
The three alleged corruption cases procured goods and services in the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, alleged extortion of civil servants for incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto said four people had been prevented from traveling abroad in connection with the investigation of the alleged corruption case.
According to him, the four people who were prohibited from traveling abroad consisted of two people from state officials and the rest were private parties.
