51 Students In Depok Manipulated With Report Card Values To Fail To Enter State High School
DEPOK - West Java (Jabar) Education Office canceled the acceptance of 51 prospective students (CPD) in a number of Depok City SMAN in the second phase of admission of new students (PPDB) through an achievement path.
This case is being handled by the Directorate General of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with the Depok City Education Office.
Acting Head of the West Java (Jabar) Education Office Region II Bogor-Depok Abur Mustikanto said, in this case, the value of the report card was changed to higher than the actual value carried out by the junior high school.
This case was discovered when a value check was carried out by the West Java PPDB supervision team together with the PPDB committee of SMAN 1. After matching the value uploaded by the CPD with the report card book, there was no difference in the value of the report card, so the students were accepted at eight SMAN in Depok City.
The Itjen Kemdikudristek team then checked the value of the report card through the E-Rapor application. From the results of this examination, it turns out that there is a difference between the value of the report card held by students and the value book held by the school.
A total of 51 CPDs that were canceled were eight educational units in Depok City, namely SMAN 1 (21 CPD), SMAN 2 (one CPD), SMAN 3 (five CPD), SMAN 4 (one CPD), SMAN 5 (four CPD), SMAN 6 (eight CPD), SMAN 12 (five CPD), and SMAN 14 (two CPD).
"Later on, the vacancy of prospective students will be filled in the lower rank. The mechanism is like that," said Abur Mustikanto, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, July 17.
The SMPN 19 Depok City has admitted their mistake in the practice of manipulating student report cards and is ready to accept the consequences with the Depok City Education Office.

"Because this has been processed, we have also been processed to the Director General (Kemendikbudristek) and are still in process. Our parents, namely the education office, also know. We (recognized) are wrong and ready for the consequences", said the Head of SMPN 19 Depok City, Nenden Eveline Agustina.
As a form of responsibility, the school together with the Depok City Education Office ensured that students who failed to enter public high schools would attend private high schools.
