5 Farmers Present Four Instrumental Works At EP Travel

JAKARTA - The music group from Bandung, 5 Petani is back with an extended play (EP) or a new mini album titled Travel. This release presents four instrumental works launched as a result of collaboration with the record label demajors.

The two songs that were present in the EP have previously been introduced as singles, namely Travels, which describe the road 5 Petani has been going through since the beginning of music. And the 'Penen Tarian', which expresses gratitude and joy for the harvest that is good.

While the other two songs are new works. Membumi tells consistency in planting notes and looking down like farmers, and Jeda, as a resting phase after harvest.

With the four songs presented, 5 Petani have also planned the release of the full album which will be released in the near future. Jeda is the entrance linking this EP to the upcoming album.

Different from the album 'Sawah Impian' (2017), the group consisting of Frank Pattinasaray (electric guitar), Yoga Wardana (acoustic guitar), Gerson Valdo Siahaan (keyboards), and Fauzan Rijal Satriawan (bass), trying to explore the sound side, songwriting, mood, and also the ambience of songs.

On the mini album Travels, 5 Petanis are assisted by many people, such as the drummer Desal Sembada, Hilmi Ridha from the El Karmoya group who plays the flute in the song Jeda, and also Langen Dumadi who makes the programming string.

Then, the recording work by Canggar Krisnatry for the song Tarian Panen, Jeda, and Membumi, as well as Indra Adhikusuma as a record maker and also mastering work for the song Travel. The mastering process for the song Embumi and Jeda is done by Canggar Krisnatry, and then Cristian Varga (Master Varga, USA) for the song Tarian Panen.
