Google Docs Launches 4 Latest Markdown Features

JAKARTA After adding Markdown support in Google Docs in 2022, Google continues to improve the feature. Recently, Google has released a new Markdown that many users are asking for. Markdown is a lightweight marker for changing plain text or formatting certain text. Simply put, Markdown can add heading elements, bold, italic, or other elements by simply inserting symbols on the keyboard. There are four new capabilities that Google launched on Tuesday, July 16. The company said that the latest Markdown support added to Google Docs could improve its interoperability capabilities. In addition, some of these new features will improve user experience for facilitating the workflow of its users. The first ability they launched was to turn Markdown into a Docs content paste or paste.

In addition, there is the ability to copy Docs content as Markdown, export Docs as Markdown, and import Markdown as Docs. This support was launched specifically for technical content writers. "They can now convert Docs content to/from Markdown. For example, developers can collaborate on software documentation in Docs and then export it as Markdown to be used in other Markdown support tools," explains Google. The feature of importing and exporting Docs through Markdown will be enabled by default, while the Salin feature as Markdown and Tempel from Markdown will be disabled upon release. To enable the feature, users only need to open the Preferences menu in the Tool section, then tap Activate Markdown.
